Life coaching is an important tool in developing your potential
in any area of your life. Put simply it's about the only person you have actual
control over, YOU!
Life coaching with HLC:
- helps you understand what you really want from life
- works with you to set achievable goals
- encourages you to achieve your goals
- motivates you to move forward in life
- transforms how you see yourself, inspiring you to project your uniqueness in to the real world!
The role of a Life Coach could be seen as similar to the role of a personal trainer. If you have/had/thought of having a personal trainer it would be for the purpose of helping you to achieve the body you want or that you need in order to stay healthy. It is to motivate, inspire and help you make a change in that area of your life.
Some people feel it can be quite scary and a little 'weird' speaking to someone about the changes they want in their life. This is understandable as it is not something we have grown up to thinking is the 'norm'. However most people do not find it unusual to get advice from a careers, financial or business adviser as this may feel less personal.
Life Coaching can in fact help you in any aspect of your life whether it is to do with your self- esteem, health, lifestyle, stress, relationships, parenting, career, business or finance. It is the person you could go to before you hire a personal trainer or a financial adviser. Because although the Life Coach is NOT there to diagnose a health problem, tell you how many push ups you need to do or sort out your finances they are there to get you to REALISE what you NEED to do and will take the steps in getting you to achieve it!
There is nothing more powerful than acknowledging what you need and doing whatever is necessary in order to get it especially when this involves important decisions in your life. Although we find ourselves making changes all the time sometimes these are short lived and we wonder why we are almost back to where we started. A Life Coach will help you understand why this is the case and get you ready, motivated and empowered to make long lasting changes.
