Follow your Happy Light

Lightness is something we feel when we are not run down, over worked, frustrated, angry about life or just plain bored. It is a euphoric feeling of gratitude, acceptance and just consciously living for today. We will face challenges, we may still feel frustrated and have an emotional day but we will know that we can then get back to our 'Happy Light' and find solutions, sleep on it and get on with creating and living an awesome life.

What HLC calls your 'Happy Light' is that spark of beauty, intelligence and love which is buried under all your fears, self limitations and masks you may have covered yourself with. 

Sometimes we have no idea where we are, where we belong and what we can do about it. We think we are happy and yet we sometimes see life going round in circles. We have allowed many things to affect us and although we want a way out we feel completely STUCK and powerless. But this is in our heads. We have that power to make a change and HLC can work with you to create a life you love.

Keep moving forward

Thought for today: Keep moving forward

Sometimes we have so much energy and nothing can stop us from moving forward. We are excited about our new projects, relationships and experiences. When this happens we may feel inspired, lighter and happier then ever and we may find that we move in an effortless motion. 


Today I ask you to hold on to that positive energy even when faced with challenging times. Because we may have a set back, we may lose sight on what we are doing and our new experiences may be causing us some strain. We need to make sure we keep our focus on our goal and follow things through. This will be the test of how much we can achieve. This is when you will see and recognise your true potential! If something fails, pick yourself up and move forward. It doesn't matter how big a step you take as long as you are taking those steps. 


Have a productive and inspiring day! Move those projects along, help others feel empowered to make work a success and form positive connections with each other!

How can we show our man/woman real love?
How can we use love to create a better world?

Saturday Affirmation: I embrace my true potential


Now it is the weekend take some time to praise your strengths, achievements and successes. Do not be afraid to look at yourself in a positive light, accept your beauty and embrace your true potential. You have so much to give and you may not even know it yet. You see it sometimes and you suppress it. You may not see it. You may not even feel it. But I assure you it is there. We are interesting beings and if we wanted to, are capable of having many breakthroughs and realisations which will move us in the right direction. Do not be afraid to shine, I want to see you shine. Shine as bright as you can and do not be afraid of judgement. 


Walking the path of our 'true calling' will not be plain sailing. It will have its ups and downs. We may have to face struggle and suffering because to make way for a new path we may need to change many things about our life.

Relationships, careers, routines, behaviours and priorities may have to change. We may lose people along the way but be reassured that you will gain so many more. When you walk this path and you do so with positive action and belief in it you will attract the energy you will be giving out. You will begin to meet people you have always wanted to connect with and who will help you on your journey. You will begin creating so much more abundance in your life and feel more at home and you will know you did this just by learning about who you are, what you really want from life and accepting Yourself. 

Embrace your true potential, it is there, it will always be there waiting for you to make life not just great but out of this world! Dream big!

HLC Friday Affirmation: I have no fear

"FEAR - False Evidence Appearing Real"

When I first came across this I was like 'oh yeh!'.

How much of what we fear is actually something that is occurring NOW?

Even if I was about to have an operation how much of the 'fear' that I would be experiencing be real?

For example, I may fear I will not wake up ever again, that my operation will go wrong etc. Is that what is happening to me while I lay down for my operation...am I dying, is it already going wrong?

Don't get me wrong Fear happens, it is a familiar feeling we have had since we can remember. When something seems a little alien to us and unfamiliar fear can kick in.

But let us reflect...

How much of this fear do we actually need?

And

How much of it should we feed ourselves with?

The simple truth: We can not control the outcome of many things but we can be in control of how we think, see and respond to these 'things' that we fear.

So today I recognise that fear can limit me in to thinking negatively and ultimately make me less productive...so I affirm that I have no fear!!!

Think about what you fear, acknowledge it and let it dissolve as you state this affirmation.

Thursday Affirmation: I deal with change well and move on.

Having the flexibility and strength to move on is a great attribute to have as life is ever changing. Although aspects of our life can seem uncertain we can maintain some certainty if we wanted to. Having said that we need to learn how to adapt to change when the need arises. 


Sometimes it will be harder then other times and those will be the biggest tests. But although it can seem like such an enormous task you will come out the other end stronger and wiser.

HLC Positive Affirmation Week: Wednesday

Wednesday Affirmation:  I am free from worry, doubt and uncertainty.

This is a special affirmation for me. Although these words are familiar to all of us this statement has a sentimental value to me. It is one of my favourites and one that I needed 12 years ago. Most importantly for me, my dad was the one who gave me these words in my time of need. Repeating this daily helped my state of mind and gave me a focus. This is the power of positive affirmations.

Note: The intention of this affirmation is not to make you think that worrying, doubting or being uncertain is 'wrong' or 'bad'. These are natural for us to feel and experience and are needed just like all our other emotions. It is intended to ease some pain and possibly transform a habit. 

If these emotions crop up from habit (you will know if this is a habit or not...it was for me) and is not helping us get on with 'life' then we can try to put aside our worries, doubts and uncertainty and begin affirming the freedom we feel from these worries instead.

Yesterday the affirmation was I am my own success. Today I am sharing with you an affirmation that helps me be my own success. 

We all have our own version of what success is and what this means to us. We also have many successes! This is a good reason why we shouldn't worry about putting ourselves down for 'failing', comparing ourselves to others, beat ourselves up about not doing this or that or get ahead of ourselves. Focus on what YOU want and achieve it by setting goals now. You are a success the moment you begin putting things in to action. 

A thought from me: I feel 'successful' when love, patience and compassion is part of my natural behaviour and when I respond this way in difficult circumstances.

Stop staring at the door! Open it!

Stop staring at the door! Open it!!!

Have you found yourself thinking, contemplating and dreaming about the same thing over and over again? Year after year?


Have you had the same goals hovering over your head and one day you find that life just took over and you didn't achieve them?

How long have you been doing this?

Although dreaming gets us inspired and helps us to think BIG. It can also limit us if we do not take action to achieve them. We will just dream, dream, dream and do more dreaming until it becomes a place of comfort. It will become a place we just get used to. We end up not taking action because 'it's only just a dream' or 'we just do not have time'.This then becomes our excuse, thinking that our dream is not something we can move towards and achieve.

There may be a door (a new possibility) in front of you that you have been staring at, curious about and sometimes desperate to open. You will not know what will be on the other side if you do not try and open it.

You may be pleasantly surprised by what you find!

What do you see?

NOTE: This does not need to mean what you literally see (i.e your looks).

How you can make this work for you!
1. Look in the mirror (or just think about yourself whatever is more comfortable) and answer this question.
What do you see? 
Allow the thoughts and feelings to come with this exercise and acknowledge their existence. 

2. Think about your desires and needs and what else you want to see within yourself. What are they? Make a list. 


3. If we know what we see and we know what we would like to see then what could be the next step? 


We see it, we think it then why not just be it! What is the worse that could happen? 


Feel uncomfortable? 

Sometimes we may like to add something to our already lovely selves but it can feel unnatural and strange to follow through. It sounds great in our head but somehow in reality we do not see it as us. 

What you can do!

Determine whether this is actually what you want to be like and see within yourself or is it something you think is 'cool' and/or expected of you? 

Once you figure this out and you know what you want or need to do then the doing bit will probably be much easier to accomplish.

Do what is best for you!


'It's your journey so do what is best for you.'

Along our chosen adventures we will no doubt come across others who do not understand us. They will not 'get' what and why we do what we do. But before you nod in agreement haven't we all done this before? We sometimes do not 'get' a lot of people who are not thinking or doing what we are doing....right? 


The thing is we do have good intentions. We do want to 'get' each other, make connections and create some kind of united force. We all want to feel a sense of belonging which gives us strength to keep being who we are. Personally I like to think that we all do this because on some subconscious level we want to be better versions of who we were yesterday and try and find that inspiration in each other (that's me wanting you to belong in that world. ;)...). 


The point is, it is not our job to convince others of who we are and justify our actions. To do that would probably be a waste of time (you can explain something over and over and it still will not settle in the other persons mind the way you want it to). Secondly you will deplete your energy fast by worrying about it. As a consequence you would be of no use to yourself or others. 


So do what is best for you...

Embrace your new beginning

'If you can see an opening to a new chapter in your life, don't be afraid to push the door wide open and embrace the start of your new journey.'



Although we generally crave for certainty and enjoy familiarity the thrill of seeking a new path and going down the more unfamiliar route can reignite the passion and love you have for life.

I love the message Dr. Wayne W. Dyer gives in his book: Inspiration Your Ultimate Calling. To summarise, inspiration tells us to proceed even when we are unsure of our goals or achievements. It encourages us to go in the direction of uncharted territory...and as a result leads us in the right direction.

If you are inspired in this new chapter, go for it! Have faith in your path. All you can do is give it your best shot!

It is such a lovely day in London so if you feel like your head is filling up with a lot of 'stuff' then take some time out for a little walk.

                                       take a breath, 
                                                         a very deep one...

As you do, have the intention of peace filling your mind, body and surroundings. As you breathe out imagine getting rid of all the 'stuff' that is in your way, releasing all that chatter from your mind.

I am strong and fearless


I am fearless and strong! This doesn't mean I have to hide or suppress my vulnerability.

Although our vulnerability exposes us to the natural elements of life (things we have no control over) it provides us with the understanding of what we are capable of. It gets us to feel, to overcome and to experience life! This can empower us and get us doing things we thought we were incapable of doing and strengthen our character. 

When you come out the other end of being open with your feelings you will feel stronger. You will experience the feeling that no one can and will get you down. You will begin to stand taller, be in control and choose to not let anything or anyone get in your way. 

We are here, together, having an experience that sends us whirling around with a variety of emotions, feelings and behaviours. It is what it is..right? So just do what you got to do!

Love like there is no tomorrow!

Kiss with passion!

When you need a cuddle don't just wait for it go get it! 

When you need to talk to someone, talk! 

You need to vent? be my guest!

When you want to be alone, have some time to yourself! 

You want to cry? Don't just want (it's so uncomfortable feeling like there is a lump in your throat)...just cry...let it out. 

No one will love you any less. It doesn't mean you are less of a person, weaker than the average man/woman. It is a part of our existence, a part of life and EVERYBODY feels so don't let anything stop you!

Affirmation

HLC's affirmation for today: I choose love and unity. 

Affirmations are more powerful than we think! Not only does love and unity put a smile on our face, it can positively affect more than one person, lifts our spirits, gets us motivated and creates a better energy.


Let's start feeding our minds we positivity. Do not let anything get in the way of this. It is very simple but I understand how hard it can be if, up until now we have been doing the opposite.


Repetition certainly helps! 


Think love, speak of love, act with love and soon you will be all about love!

Find peace in your journey...

Although our journey can be filled with much fun, joy and happy times with treasured memories filling our hearts with love, our journey can also include many challenges, changes and obstacles which may make us feel like we are living in fear, suffering, pain, uncertainty and a feeling of hopelessness. 


By acknowledging our journey and what it has and continues to hold for us in this present moment we can then accept it and move on. By being aware of the realities that surround us and respecting the highs and lows of life we can then focus on and train ourselves to find the peace in both good and bad times. 

Saying it how it is: Finding peace is a nice way of dealing with the 'crappy' stuff don't you think? Know that 's!?t' happens in life but we CAN choose to move on and hold on to something that feels much more pleasant even if it lasts for a moment. Hold on tight and keep adding goodness to it! Peace, love and light...

You Can!

It looks difficult but you know that if you wanted to you can reach your goal. 

Identify the steps you need to take in order to get there and then just do what you got to do!

I know 'doing' what we need to do can be a challenge we all face. Taking action on something that we have always thought was not our problem or was too difficult or too big of a dream to make come true makes us feel uncomfortable. For a start it isn't within our comfort zone so why would we want to put ourselves through unfamiliarity and possibly feelings of anxiousness.

But if you really want it and it is something you have thought hard about YOU CAN achieve it. Making the decision and stating your goal means you are clear and have a focus. There is no use in letting our limiting beliefs take over and ruin it for us. You control YOU. Now go do what you got to do!

Tip: 
1. Know your goal and make peace with it.It is what it is.
2. Think of all the steps that will help you reach your goal.
3. Now start walking! Take each step and give yourself some praise for doing it. It takes courage to do what you want/need to do.
